Solar Panel Messenger Bag a.k.a. “Photovoltaic Messenger Bag”
What’s that,  you say?! Definition came straight off wikipedia (because I wouldn’t know how to explain it any better!)
"…method of generating electrical power by converting solar radiation into direct current electricity using semiconductors that exhibit thephotovoltaic effect. Photovoltaic power generation employs solar panels composed of a number of solar cells containing a photovoltaic material”
Me and a team member sewed and designed the bag. The solar panel work was left to the engineering students. Yesterday, they had their senior design show and showed off three bags (that apparel design students designed and constructed, like me) that could demonstrate how one can wear a solar powered bag, and how it works! People were literally going up to them and saying “hey…so can I charge my phone?”. The question is YES, therefore, their booth became an unofficial phone charging system.
I am very happy with the turnout. I think the EE students did an awesome job. So glad this messenger bag is done and over with though. As much as I loved it, I spent way too much time on it so that I was behind in many classes for finals-time crunch.
HOPE YOU ALL LOVE THIS AS MUCH AS I DO!  :)
